The driving force behind Futureproof with 30 years of experience in the music industry as a promotions manager, musician, producer, live promoter working with multi-platinum artists Depeche Mode, Terence Trent D'Arby, Sade, Desree and the Rolling Stones to name but a few.This charismatic character knows the business inside-out and oversees all campaigns, co-ordinating press, radio, TV,online & club elements. Phil's experience, dedication and passion for the music ensure each campaign is suitably targeted with informative reports that empower the the client.
Starting his career in the music business as a guitarist in various bands, Phil toured Europe supporting acts such as Iggy Pop, The Human League, Scritti Politti and Joy Division before having immense success as an engineer working alongside Sade, Boy George, The Rolling Stones, Depeche Mode, Erasure and many others. His production of Desree, The Pasedenas and with Martin Ware from Heaven 17 the critically acclaimed Terence Trent D'Arby Album, The Hard Line According to… firmly established his position in the British music scene.
Phil’s club remix work includes De La Soul, Lisa Stansfield, PM Dawn & Eternal as well as writing and producing music for Motorola, WH Smiths & various TV programmes including 'Life, Death & Damien Hurst'.
Always looking for a way to channel his music Phil then created Futureproof. Initially as a club night in Notting Hill he showcased various ideas and attracted new talent alongside numerous DJs spinning a selection of hip hop and R'n'B grooves. The night went on to win Best Club at the 'My Village.com' awards giving it an impressive profile around the Notting Hill area. In 2003 the record label and publishing company were launched with the Promotions Company kicking off in 2006.
