Last year's Notting Hill Carnival (2002) blew up more than expected with the Futureproof sound system causing a road block on each of the two days. Although it was the first year at this location, word on the street travelled fast, and before long spin doctor Wiggles was givin' the crowd a mix of the freshest carnival sounds. Big up to the man who kept an ever growing crowd in the carnival spirit for the whole the two day event. See the carnival photos for yourself by clicking here

The early years in Futureproof's developement hold many memories of the nights held at the Gate in Notting Hill. Among these are the Sampler CD Launch Party, and also hip-hop band 7th Sun playing their excellent set to a packed house alongside the soul/gospel duo Timeless .
In its first year Futureproof picked up 'Best Club' at the Notting Hill My Village.com awards, with Phil also winning the prestigeous 'Favourite Local Face' award at the same ceremony confirming Futureproof's ever growing presence in the Notting Hill area. There's also a MyVillage interview with Phil that's worth checking out.
